Newly opened Hermea Grand Mountain Villa and Spa in Greece is proud recipient of international design award
Hermea Grand Mountain Villa and Spa (Hermea) has begun its journey in the world of luxury hospitality with a major international recognition at the recent Elite Awards 2025. Located at an altitude of 900 meters on the plateau of Feneos in Corinthia, Hermea (http://www.hermea.gr) has been conceived as the most luxurious mountain villa in Greece. Recognizing the property’s outstanding aesthetics, the British publisher design et al, awarded this emblematic interior design project by the internationally awarded Angelos Angelopoulos, the first prize in the “Interior Design Scheme” category.
Accepting the award during a prestigious ceremony at the Jumeirah Capri Palace on the island of Capri, Italy, the entrepreneurs stated:
“We would like to thank the leading hotel designer Angelos Angelopoulos and our architect Liana Loukou for their exceptional work in transforming our entrepreneurial vision into a truly inviting hospitality space. When we launched the villa’s operations a few months ago, we did not expect to receive such a major international distinction as the Elite Awards so soon. Being the only representatives of Greece among top entrepreneurs and designers across the world, was deeply rewarding, and we are proud to have secured this award for the villa’s refined aesthetics. We now hope that more distinctions will follow for the high-quality hospitality we offer to all guests who choose Hermea for a mountain escape in the Peloponnese.”
The architectural design was led by Liana Loukou, while Angelos Angelopoulos was responsible for the artistic direction and interior concept. This international recognition confirms the creators’ position among the leading professionals in global design, while highlighting the creative strength of Greek design in the field of luxury architecture and hospitality.
Hermea is a one-of-a-kind retreat that unites myth, nature, and refined aesthetics. The project showcases the power of design to tell stories, where every material, detail, and experience is harmoniously connected with the natural surroundings and the region’s cultural heritage. The villa accommodates up to 19 guests, featuring six master bedrooms, an indoor heated pool, wine cellar, private cinema, and spacious outdoor areas with stunning mountain views.
With wood, metal, and local stone as its defining elements, Angelos Angelopoulos created interiors that radiate warmth, authenticity, and timeless elegance. Modern facilities, including underfloor heating and cooling, wellness areas, and e-mobility infrastructure, are combined with handcrafted furniture and curated artworks, forming a haven of luxury and harmony.
Less than two and half hours from Athens by car, the villa is surrounded by the natural and historical attractions of mountainous Corinthia and is ideally located for excursions to the coastline of the Corinthian Gulf, the wineries of Nemea, and the three ski resorts of the Peloponnese, namely, Ziria, Helmos near Kalavryta, and Mainalo.
